"What one man can do another man can do." Anthony Hopkins
When it comes to hunting for your very survival, you will have to do some things and eat some things
that you may find disagreeable. However I can assure you that after about 4 days of hiking with a full
load and no food you will be begging for gerbster (Dale Gribble). Snakes and squirrels and rabbits,
turkeys and hogs, deer and elk, even bear are all fair game at any time in a survival situation. If you
have some problem with killing animals for food or are squeamish you are going to need to get over
that shit right quick. Watch some YouTube vids on cleaning and butchering game to desensitize
yourself if you have to and for God's sake do some killing and dressing now under ideal conditions
instead of waiting until you are in a survival situation. Becoming proficient at killing and preparing
game is essential to long-term survival.
As discussed on the firearms page of this website we believe your INCH bag should carry 2 firearms.
One very powerful handgun and a .22 rifle. We recommend the Ruger 10-22 rifle or the Marlin 60 both
very accurate, reliable and inexpensive. If carrying a rifle is not possible or advisable in your area (cities)
consider the Ruger Mark III Hunter .22. An awesome little hunter that will put food on the table for
pennies a shot.

Part of survival is rationing supplies. Ammunition is supply and you should take care to use it only when
necessary. To that end you should try to trap the majority of your game. Besides saving ammo trapping
is quiet, and the traps hunt for you while you do other things such as water collection or security patrol.
Set up multiple snares/traps to increase your odds, 10 to 20 traps is a pretty good bet. There are
hundreds of different types of snaring and trapping techniques that have been used by man for
centuries all over the planet. Start with the recommended snare set shown on the contents page and
progress to using indigenous materials to make your snares. Trapping is not difficult but does require
some practice, do it now under ideal conditions.
